SmartPass is a facility that provides users to access UAE government services using a single account. Multiple government facilities can be accessed with SmartPass, it needs users authentication to access.
To be Noted:
From July 2020, SmartPass services will not be available. Users can register themselves for UAE Pass which offers similar services to SmartPass. SmartPass users can register for UAE Pass using SmartPass login credentials.
Why Smart Pass?
Most of the UAE government services are online and a user has to remember different user ids and passwords to get access to government facilities.
It’s noticed that users memorize or document their login details, multiple login attempts are made due to confusion of login ids and passwords, forgotten password or multiple incorrect login attempts lead to the account being blocked. Unblocking a user reinstates only one website.
It does not solve the issue of public and users have to remember multiple user ids and passwords. Thus SmartPass was introduced to reduce the difficulties of users.
Users can access the UAE government’s e-services with SmartPass. By just remembering one SmartPass login details you can access multiple government e-services.
Smart verified identity
SmartPass provides verified accurate, reliable, identity and information. This helps the user so that personal details are not requested every time when they use e-government services.
The personal details such as name, nationality, date of birth, personal photo and other details are verified once you get SmartPass.
SmartPass is available to Residents, Citizens & visitors, it is part of UAE Smart Government National Plan initiatives.
